WHAT IS ALIGNMENT YOGA?

Rooted in the teachings of the renowned yogi B.K.S. Iyengar, Alignment Yoga is a practice that combines the principles of Hatha Yoga with a modern understanding of anatomy and biomechanics. This unique approach focuses on achieving precise anatomical alignment in every posture to enhance strength, flexibility, and mental clarity and deepen the connection between the body and the mind.

Unlike Flow Yoga, which typically involves continuous movement, the pace of Alignment Yoga is slower as it explores the poses with percision and dedication. This way, not only can you improve your overall posture, but also prevent injuries. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced Yoga instructor, Alignment Yoga’s intelligent nature offers a transformative experience that supports both physical and mental well-being. It provides a space for growth and insight, by the virtue of being rooted in Yoga philosophy and pulling from a deep understanding of Yoga anatomy.

According to Daoism all world exists in polarities. The polarities of Yin and Yang give rise to the concept of the five elements and the five seasons. VVOO is built upon the ancient knowledge of this pattern. The human is a fractal of the universe. Five is the center of a radiant sphere. The human is put at the very center of a bigger whole. The sphere around it makes it complete. V is 5, the center and 0 is the sphere around. Wu also means 'nothingness' and 'effortlessness'. "...but usefulness rises from whatever is not"
