30H KATONAH YOGA TRAINING

Substantiate yourself, develop competency, and free up your imagination. From the esoteric ideas of Taosim to the very pragmatic way to hold a right angle, we will move through techniques that articulate the Katonah Yoga theory that you may have heard but have not yet made use of in your teaching or embodied in your practice.

Touch is the first sense we develop in the womb. Touch is the core of our being. Touch is always with us. Our hands are an extension of our heart. We are touch.

KATONAH YOGA FOR BEGINNERS

In this 2h workshop you will get a proper introduction to Katonah Yoga.

Katonah Yoga is a syncretic Yoga system that englobes Geometry (archetypes and measures), strong language, metaphors both to engage the mind and adjustments that help the practitioner to reorient and the integration of props (blocks, sandbags, straps, blankets).

10H INVERSIONS INTENSIVE

In this intensive weekend training, you will receive Valentine's insights on how to practice & teach inversions, as well as some of her knowledge in anatomy and biomechanics in both theory and practice.

This practice has a focus on intermediate asana, but basically all levels are welcome.

AYURVEDIC INSIGHT ON WOMEN'S HORMONAL BALANCE

Ayurveda offers a unique way to look at women’s hormonal health. Challenges with the moon cycle; painful or irregular periods, mood swings and also, premenopausal issues like hot flashes and bad sleep all share a common root cause. The years even before a woman undergoes that hormonal shift have a major influence on how that natural transition will unfold. Therefore, this workshop addresses women of any age within that lifecycle.

THE BREATH

The Breath is a uniquely curated two hours breathwork experience that focuses on inner and outer explorations. They combine a variety of impactful breathing exercises and techniques to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, opening the door to the magic within you.

THE PRACTICE

This is a strong and intelligent 2.5h class that has a strong focus on alignment principles and borrows from various traditions such as Vinyasa, Iyengar, and Hatha, as well as several different breathing methods. This combination helps to create a stable offering for physical, emotional health and wellbeing.

10 HOUR RESTORATIVE TRAINING

A Katonah Yoga based approach to physical and mental recovery: We use proven shapes, prop set-ups, the breath and our imagination to reform the body and re-inform the practice.

EMBODIED AWARENESS - EXTENDED YOGA & MEDITATION PRACTICE WITH MANU

Wisdom and compassion are the two wings that Buddhist philosophy considers to be essential in order to free ourselves from the avoidable suffering. Awareness is the ultimate resting ground for this. Delve into a profound experience of radical presence with Manu in this 2.5 practice of Asana and Meditation.
